John F Kennedy: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable."

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=9100

One year ago, on a similar occasion, I proposed the Alliance for Progress. That was the conception, but the birth did not take place until some months later, at Punta del Este. That was a suggestion for a continent-wide cooperative effort to satisfy the basic needs of the American people for homes, work, land, health and schools, for political liberty and the dignity of the spirit.

Our mission, I said, was "to complete the revolution of the Americas--to build a Hemisphere where all men can hope for a suitable standard of living--and all can live out their lives in dignity and freedom."

at least some of the things he's touting.

Because I've said it before; if things go on as they are in the United States, we are MAYBE 10 years out from a real revolution. All Bernie really wants to do, it seems is to bring back the New Deal plus a couple of other things. The establishment should know that if he's allowed to do it, then they will be able to have their power and fleece us for another 75 years. If they don't throw us a few substantial bones, then all bets are off.

FDR knew this. He was no traitor to his class. The USA was about to go red. People were rioting in the streets. The New Deal actually SAVED the economic elite class by giving them another 85 years of being able to profit and live in unearned plenty.

I like Bernie better because I like peace. No sane person would want to live through a bloody revolution, and what is set up to replace what is torn down might not be to anyone's liking. Think Robespierre.
