(6,409 posts)I guess it's supposed to be a put-down, Bernie as the crazed scientist, taking us back to the future? Notice the backward arrow in the fake logo? In a sense, the insult is accurate. Sanders is a progressive, and the last progressive electoral success was 100 years ago. That was the last time politicians got elected to national office by opposing powerful interests, rather than taking money from them. That was the last time politicians used the power of government to level the playing field so working people had a chance against the banks and railroads, yesterday's equivalent of Wall Street today. So, will we see more of this? Sanders is so last Tuesday?

(7,865 posts)I think supporters of Sanders should redo this t shirt with a more flattering picture of Bernie. This one just doesn't look as good.
I do like the idea and inspiration though. I think we do need to get back to the future by looking at our progressive past when it comes to economic issues.
