This is what I heard listening to Hillary on Tweety's Hardball. And yes, she did say she's for Universal Health Care like Bernie.
She doesn't know the word we. LIke in We The People.

(12,882 posts)where I asked if I was the only one to notice Ms. Inevitable had said she'd work towards "Universal Health Care" like Americans want. I 'bout fell outta my chair when I heard that! Wha happened to the "we're gonna fix the ACA and make it better of JUST a couple of weeks ago??? Universal Health care I mused..... isn't that like Medicare for all???

(11,972 posts)Hillary's vision of universal is that most of them are covered by private insurance.

(12,882 posts)"Universal" means one size fits all. There's no way that fits a multitude of insurers.

(17,651 posts)I've got this little Hillary Victory Fund mailer the other day and in it there's a piece of paper with blank lines on it for me to write her a message. I even asked this group what they thought I should write on it.
Well....I've got a few ideas now.
Anhwho..I think she's about as self-centered as they come.

(14,007 posts)I really admire the parts of Senator Sander's speeches where he reminds us 'it's not about him'
It is really about US. About all the progressive values we hold dear. About the great social movements, some of which we've witnessed in our lifetime, under attack by forces that would strip them away. About those of us who remember that the America they want to drag us back to ("Make America great again" was not that great for a huge portion of Americans, like Native Americans, slaves, immigrants, women, people of color, the poor, people with disabilities, LGBTs...
Bernie is just the unlikely guy that is reminding us to hold fast, to not let up in the struggle for progress towards a country that makes good on the lofty promises of the Founders of our great experiment in democracy.

The universal healthcare issue ..well Bill no doubt told her to start talking about it ...Bernie will have to call her on this Tomorrow .....

(802 posts)Hillary will still be around and viable in 2020 to succeed him. She would likely then be emboldened to keep the corruption fixed as well. I will only regrettably vote for HRC if she wins the nomination. But when it comes to the corporatocracy she still embraces... we NEED Bernie. Badly.

Toward the end of his penetrating new book, The Secret Life of Pronouns: What Our Words Say About Us, Pennebaker crunches the numbers on presidential press conferences since Truman and finds that Obama has distinguished himself as the lowest I-word user of any of the modern presidents.
Speakers displaying self-assurance have a lower frequency of I-words, even though most people would assume the opposite.

I'm reading this book now.
