There are 5: a nurse, a king, a member of the Simpsons equivalent of the Freemasons, a user from Texas and a user whose screen name has the first three letters as the surname of one of Bill's old flames. Sorry if that's a bit cryptic, but to name them outright would be a violation of DU rules.

I always considered this place to be where others have already scanned the good news sites and posted links to the articles most worth reading, so it saved me time. There's just so much to wade through now .... I'll clear out the ignore list after primary season. I had never put anyone on ignore before this primary season.

I had no one on ignore before primary season began, and I'll clear out the ignore list after the primaries. Most of the time, I rarely comment on DU (only 1,868 posts since I joined in July 2005), as I usually just come here to read the news stories that are linked. Too much to wade through now, and I don't need my blood pressure level going any higher than it is. I've been supplementing this with some other news sites and avoiding the comment sections there.

Someone want to explain how defining someone's valueless posts and valueless is a personal attack?

On Wed Feb 17, 2016, 01:09 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

No. Your posts are like a dry rock in the desert--Neither useful nor sustaining.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=1256823

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Ad hominem. The poster being responded to made no ad hominem a against this poster.

JURY RESULTS

A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Wed Feb 17, 2016, 01:42 PM, and voted 6-1 to HIDE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This is a tough one. I've got to say I have issues with MRT's posts, as well, and I think he kind of brought this on himself with the provocative comments before this one, but Gore1FL did deliver an ad hominem while MohRokTah didn't cross that threshold. If I'm true to my standards I have to hide this.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: An easy hide-worthy post.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: The Alert is valid.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I agree with the sentiment, but the personal insult is too extreme. Focus on the material, not the person.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: When you point a finger, there are three fingers pointing back at you.

CONSEQUENCES OF THIS DECISION

I tried to ignore the vitriolic smearing however they are too deranged to ignore . Their entire impetus is to divide the voter base and spread half truths and lies . They are the internal cancer killing off the D. Just hold your nose and point out their inconsistency , they never reply after the hit and run tactics they employ , or if they do it is strawmanning by going off on random tangents . They have nothing to offer but dishonest discourse and lies .
