Freaked Out

(74 posts)
Tue Mar 1, 2016, 11:24 PM Mar 2016

After tonight. I'm done.

I'm done being a loyal Democrat. I'm still disgusted by what I saw tonight. Too many sheeples in my own beautiful state.

Tomorrow morning, I'm registering as an Independent, and I will feel hell a lot better dumping the Democratic Party from my choice.

There is no more lesser of two evils. Both Clinton and Trump are evil, and Bernie is the only answer to this year's elections.

Another state that went to Bernie, but my own precinct went 57-54-2 Clinton/Sanders/undecided tonight.

Must be the pro-Israel jerks in my neighborhood (I'm Jewish, but could care less for Israel)

Too many of them do think this is American Idol. They care called conservatives.
The only Liberal or progressive running is Bernie. These were mostly consecutive southern states. Just you wait, Bernie's time is coming.

This country is broken, a laughing stock for most of the world. That is why we need Bernie to win and he will do much better, starting in the near future. We'll have out turn to show'em.

non-party! Sounds like your state has voted so
changing your party or lack of it is not a problem.

I'm a baby boomer who has been a Dem all my life, but after our caucus on Saturday, I'm switching to Independent. The party does not represent me or my values any more.

That's in mid-May. I may also change my registration to an I then. In addition to the top of the ticket, I have a problem with both my congressman (Schrader) and my senator (Wyden). I won't vote for Schrader because he is a fucking blue dog conservasellout. Wyden voted for the TPA, which pissed me off.

he is definitely two faced. he also wants to privatize blm and usfs lands and always sides with the indiscriminate corporate logging interests that will clearcut the forests, replant them with fast growing non indigenous frankentrees, and then ship all of the lumber to china.

??? WTF are people thinking? They want sharia in the US?

So I completely understand the frustration.

I can say that the worst is over if we don't give up. The conservative states have spoken & no big surprise - they went for the conservative candidates.

Bernie ended the night with a win in a SWING state - Colorado - and with the good people of Minnesota.

California has so many delegates - and they are still coming up.

On Wed Mar 2, 2016, 09:48 AM an alert was sent on the following post:

After tonight. I'm done.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1280131599

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Referring to the presumptive Dem nominee as "evil" is a clear TOS violation. This doofus says he is leaving voluntarily but this post still deserves a hide and a tombstone.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Mar 2, 2016, 10:24 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Nope.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I was going to vote to hide. But then I was really turned off by the alerter's comments.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: declaring for Bernie (an independent) in a Bernie group is OK
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Inappropriate. We need to be rallying around Hillary as the only realistic alternative to the Republicans, not calling her "evil".
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
