There is a ready-made spot for a straight-ahead echo chamber already in existence. I have always read this site as a platform for discussion. I do agree with them that the discussion has devolved substantially, but probably not in the way they mean, and I also have seen the quality of discourse as having declined steadily over the last three years (longtime reader, recent poster).

My big example is Brooklynite. No love lost. A particularly snarky guy. BUT, he showed up here and posted a news clip announcing a Bernie rally and got banned for that. There was zero snark or anything.

I thought we could do better than that.
