Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumGetting really excited for Super Tuesday 3.
One... It'll be my first time ever voting. Ever. Amazing.
Two... A couple of weeks ago, before Michigan, we Bernie supporters were all bracing ourselves for this Tuesday. We assured ourselves that it would Hillary's last good day. Because she was likely going to win all of the states...
But not anymore...
3. Now, because of Bernie's upset in Michigan, the tides seem to be changing! It looks certain that Bernie's going to win Illinois, and the other states are honestly up in the air now! Bernie's numbers have always climbed, while Hillary's have always fallen. Who knows what's going to happen? But you know what?
4. It won't be an absolute defeat. We're actually going to win something on Tuesday and we've said to ourselves all along that this Tuesday was Hillary's LAST good day. After this, Bernie starts winning loads.
So the fact that Bernie may actually be getting some wins in this Tuesday PLUS he's definitely going to do better after that???
Oh this is good news. Very good news!

(15,426 posts)My first time was clear back in 80. Kudos to EVERY American who takes the trouble to vote in a primary, and vote in the general election. Especially now that so many have to fight bullshit restrictions put there by Republicans to make it more difficult for people who tend to vote Democratic.
So good for you! And good for Bernie. I'll be voting for him too, and happily.

(17,320 posts)I'm very proud of you and your friends for leading the way, along with support from Americans of all ages
and social-economic levels. It looks idealism might be back in style. Too soon to celebrate though.

(11,366 posts)Despite Hillary's "foreign leaders want to endorse me" crap from last night, most PEOPLE throughout the world want Bernie to win it. He'd be the trifecta: Corbyn, Trudeau and Sanders.

(972 posts)No matter how cynical we become as we grow older, there will always be that remembrance of the first time.
And btw, I would like to personally give you a huge SHOUT OUT for your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to furthering democracy AND Bernie Sanders here at DU. You've shown remarkable maturity and sense during what can be a tumultuous process. THANKS for all your organizational posts during the state primaries and have a SUPER TUESDAY!!

(26 posts)It'll be quite awhile before she wins another state.
Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio and Florida are now out of Clinton's reach. You can thank Clinton's bad week for it.

I think there are going to be some close races tomorrow in the midwest which Sanders needs to hold back Clinton's delegate count.
We'll see, maybe you're right.

Like a Virgin
I made it through the wilderness
Somehow I made it through
Didn't know how lost I was
Until I found you, Bern
I was beat, Bern
Incomplete, Bern
I'd been had, I was sad and blue
But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel
Shiny and new
Hoo, like a virgin
VOTING for the very first time
Like a virgin
When your heart beats
Next to mine
Gonna give you all my love, BERN
My fear is fading fast, Bern
Been saving it all for you, Bern
'Cause only love can last, Bern
Like a virgin, hey
VOTING for the very first time
Like a virgin
With your heartbeat
Next to mine
You're so fine, Bern
And you're mine, Bern
I'll be yours, Bern
'Till the end of time
'Cause you made me Feel-the Bern
Yeah, you made me Feel-the-Bern
Feel the Bern!
