It's pretty obvious that many Sanders supporters are/were donators, and DU is going to miss that cash. There will be ad revenue, and maybe some extra from political ads for the GE, but only if Sanders is the nominee will the money from subscriptions not go down. (Imo)

Maybe they can have a successful membership drive after the primaries if Secretary Clinton is the nominee.

The minority but in admin they seem to be all in for her, pretty obvious in the selection of what posts will show on home page and how the supposed "amnesty" was handled. The hill crowd is prowling now to alert on anything that they want and they have it figured out how to get on the most juries by refreshing often, once they get you down with a hide or 2 they have more of an advantage since that causes you to get less opportunities to be on any juries...

Pretty disgusting really a lot of them along with most of us were Obama fans last time around and we all worked together to get the best candidate out there. Now they have decided to say fuck it.After this amount of time watching Obama and comparing him to her I see why, they are a lot closer in principals than first thought possible he just has a lot better sense as to how to go about it without it being so apparent.. Both corporatists.. all in for big business

After primary season they have had a time period when you could change your user name so that all would be forgiven and fresh start without losing your post count... Pretty much a universal amnesty, if you did that naturally all ignore lists became useless ...So you may not know who you are responding to because they have anew handle..

For instance it's Berners who have been giving amazing insight into the email scandal (I'm thinking of one thread by Impedimus (sorry for any misspelling).

who are not as informed as you, how will those people find JPR? DU is easier to stumble across an if Berners aren't here posting, the other side gets to control the story.

My suggestion given WiilyT's ban is for Berners simply not interact with people who will stop at nothing to smear Bernie and his supporters.

Mar 2016

I've been here for 12 years and we've accomplished nothing here. Now it's time to start using the tools we have now that we didn't have when forums like this were the only way to reach people.

I have actually reached more people, done more real work to get Bernie elected, on Social Media and tying JPR to that has helped eg, get people registered to vote, get information the Corp Media won't report on, out to thousands of people

Here, it's very limited with far too much negativity.

For the serious work that needs to be done, I can't waste any more time dealing with people who are working against everything I believe in.

Times are changing, so is technology. We COULD have accomplished a lot here, but we didn't.

I have many friends here still and respect their decision to keep trying. I did that too against the advice of many of my friends, but I realize now I was wasting my time.

I hope to stay in touch with all those great people who I came to know here. And will drop in every now and again. Until we are told to leave which seems more than likely.

But if that happens, you know where to find us. You are one of the best here.

I didn't always agree with Willy but he was one of my favorites. Every response always included this

I've been here on and off since 2004 and it's sad to see what this site has become.

In 2008 we had more candidates to choose from and the 'fights' in GDP were based more on issues.

Now it's just an insult-fest.
Sad.
