I was lucky enough to gift "A Peoples History of the USA" by Howard Zinn

to three people...I still have 4 credits to gift to Bernie supporters.

This is an audible book..not a hard copy.

I found out you need an amazon.com account to download. I did not know that.

But if you would like to 'Hear' the book...it is in 5 parts, and retail is $60...but I only pay $11+ for each credit and LOVE me some Bernie supporters.

I know people are reluctant to give out real email addresses, but you get mine in exchange.

So click on the little envelope icon next to my name, and I will be happy to gift you (what audible calls it) the audio book.

My offer of free stuff has been ignored..what can I say?

I bought credits just to give this very important book to those who might like it...maybe most Bernie supporters already have the book?

Your email address isn't sent to the recipients -- only the cover note that you wrote. The only email address shown is Audible's.

As a side note, I don't know why people are reluctant to give an email address. I gave you my "real" address, but there are plenty of services that provide anyone with a free address. You can go to juno.com or mail.com or the like and set up an address that you'll give out indiscriminately, not caring whether it gets spammed. My mail.com address has several thousand unread emails.

If you sign up for Audible to receive angstlessk's gift book, you'll have a trial membership that gives you a free credit for another audio book. That's two freebies for the "price" of one! The only downside is the nuisance of remembering to cancel within 30 days if you don't want to be billed.

I was a little leery when I saw that the reader was Jeff Zinn. I thought it might be some incompetent who got the gig through family connections. It turns out that one of Howard Zinn's children was named Jeff and that there's a Jeff Zinn who is, among other things, an actor, so I assume they're the same person. At any rate, the reading is top quality.

Thanks for the gift!

I just hope other Bernie supporters take me up on my offer. It is from the heart, as is Bernie!

6. More about Zinn

In my other post I noted my assumption that the audiobook reader, Jeff Zinn, was Howard Zinn's son. I couldn't let it rest at that, however. With some research I confirmed the connection. I also learned that Jeff Zinn, an actor and director, directed several productions of his father's plays. This of course had to be shared with the world, so I edited Howard Zinn's biography on Wikipedia.

Thus, your offer is not only disseminating the book, but has had the indirect effect of helping to propagate knowledge about Howard Zinn and his family!
