http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2016/03/28/why-wont-sanders-quit-the-race-because-hes-winning/"Sanders still has a shot. His support is growing, his opponent is increasingly unpopular and his supporters will finance his race. No regular candidate would leave the race in such a position. Ohio Governor John Kasich and Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), the GOP candidates trying to best Trump, would give their left arms to be where Sanders is.

The keepers of the failed consensus are aghast, Democratic officialdom nervous. Wall Street donors aflutter. Get used to it. There isnt a whit of reason for Sanders to shut his campaign down. As the old gospel song puts it, the road ahead is hard. But hes come too far to turn back now. And he is in no ways tired."

The pressure on the DOJ to take no action against "our only hope" nominee will be enormous. But if it become obvious that there's a definite lack of widespread enthusiasm for Secretary Clinton, and that in fact Senator Sanders will do a better job at the top of the ticket, then President Obama and Attorney General Lynch might be doing some thoughtful gazing out of their respective windows.
Those are part of the stakes for Secretary Clinton, imo.
