I've been posting in the MO group, thinking MO Bernie people are there already. Do I need to post things twice?
Where's everyone from?

(14,933 posts)I have petitioned, phone banked and donated and so have the others. My friend is a state delegate. When he turned his petitions in to the office in Albany he was told that of the petitions that made the rounds in state offices Bernie won 80% to 20% vs Hillary. I see a ton of Bernie bumper stickers all over the state ( sales rep, travel all over). I have seen 1 Ben Carson sticker and 2 Hillary for prison 2016. The only yard signs I've seen are for Bernie although yard signs are not terribly prevalent in primary season here. Bernie needed 5000 signatures to get on the ballot here but he got well over 50,000.
I know our county chair and many of the committee are Hillary supporters. Myself, my brothers, my sisters are all Bernie supporters. Sisters are in NJ though. Unfortunate for many independents the cut off date for changing registration to Dem in order to vote in the primary was Oct.9th and many didn't make it. I do know a few people who unregistered at the county and then registered as Dems.

(522 posts)I think your posts are super within the Missouri Group, however I have found over these last few years that it really does not generate much traffic. That said, as one of the hosts of the Missouri Group, I do hope you continue to post there .

Enjoy!

(2,934 posts)somebody lifted my Bernie Sign. Maybe I should get creative with the blank sign I have in the garage. I love the red, white, and blue lion that a few people have as sig lines. The birds are nice, too.

(11,853 posts)For a week now, I'm talking to my colleagues at work. Mostly they are for Bernie or won't vote. I was also specifically asking my AA friends about their voting preference. I was surprised that almost all of them were for Bernie!! In our division, there are about 1000 employee. I asked my AA friends if they themselves are for Bernie of if their family and friends too. They say most of those they know are for Bernie. It is an interesting finding. I know that this is not a scientifically sound poll to rely on to draw any conclusion as to the inclination of the AA community here, but it is interesting that almost every single one of them said they are voting for Bernie.

Now home to homophobia central command, sadly. This is what happens when sane people don't vote: we get Republicans in state government. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail and we'll knock out the dufus leadership in November.
Still, a beautiful place to live. I'm lucky enough to finally own my tiny little bit of land, so I'll likely live out the rest of my life here.
