There are people here who howled for Chelsea Manning's head on a stick. There are people here who cheered when we destroyed Libya. There are people here who viciously attacked those who opposed military intervention in Syria.

"Democratic" doesn't guarantee that someone isn't despicable.

an important counter to RW's huge media machine and its powerful control over corporate media.

It has a partisan bias now for Clinton and is unduly harsh on Sanders campaign, but, that doesn't negate its LONG record of service, especially during the Bush years.

I think people should be FAIRMINDED, period. If you were one of those members here engaged in fighting the onslaught of RW propaganda and used MM as a source to arm yourself for battle during the Bush years, then one COULD believe the defense of Brock.

A lot of the stuff I am seeing these days could have been lifted from Bill O'Reilly's site when he had his minions targeting Brock and Media Matters.

I just can't defend him based on what he is doing now, and what he did to Anita Hill.

understand why he is being defended here.

What he did during Anita Hill hearing was what he believed was right at the time when he was a Republican.

Do you not know how he turned around after being paid to give HRC the same treatment, but, while researching her life and interviewing ministers, neighbors, teachers, friends, he no longer had the stomach to go after her? It also coincided with the increase in hatred against gays being ginned up by GOP in congress, so, in that sense, I'd say self-preservation was starting to kick in. The vilification he endured by the RW and its powerful press was far more than anything he is getting these days from Sanders supporters. Perhaps some do not remember - I am cursed with a memory for detail.

I oppose HRC based on real issues - I will never dog her or her campaign for manufactured issues. No one needs to - and I definitely raise an eyebrow on those who post RW propaganda against any Dem, especially our candidates.

10. I find it most Helpful myself, It has been known a long time now that there are moderate Republicans

That are now considered part of the party; It matters not to some that they still hold Republican views on fiscal matters, nor even on corruption, so why is anybody surprised that they hold the same views on election tactics as Republicans do?

David Brock is just one of the many slime merchants they brought with them when they left their own party (no longer an option for even a reanimated Ronald Reagan) if he were to reappear since them leaving that party left only the John Birch Society or outright fascist wing of that party to fester among themselves. They left their party to undermine and infiltrate our own, Sidney Blumenthal is another they embrace and even admire as they do Brock.

They are just doing what they do, and the more Reagan/Nixon like "new" Democrat infiltrators using their Lee Atwater, Karl Rove tactics should surprise nobody. The only thing that surprises me is that these moderate Republicans claim to be (although pure Republican on fiscal policy matters) loyal allies regarding some social issues, but Brock is proof they are moving even further rihght on social issues as they are on fiscal ones.

For those too young to remember or know. David Brock was famous for calling a sexual harassment victim Anita Hill, among other things, "A little bit slutty and a little bit nutty" Just to excuse Clarence Thomas of his habitual inter-office sexual harassment of his fellow female coworkers. Anita was an African American professional woman that was made the accused party by Brock even tho she was the abused party. Victim blaming and shaming at it's worst, those that embrace him tell us more about themselves then volumes of troll catchers ever could if they were to dig up their ugliness on Conservative sites they may also post on ever could.

Their Love of Brock I find most helpful in that it outs the Republican minded among us.

They are here and their aim is and always has been to take over the party from actual Democrats (no matter how dishonestly they may register when filling out party affiliation)

Their presence and goals have been well documented on this site, now they are showing us, at least some of them, who they really are.

I used to think that personality cultism was a right wing trait, but the last few years here have shown me the error of my ways.
