Amazing how it has kicked in during this lame duck session. Repugs get TPP. Dems get ACA. Not much of a trade if you ask me, maybe for single payer I would have made the deal ... but then I'm not Nancy Pelosi.
Now I'm wondering what the American People get.

(41,118 posts)times, like 60, to make them anxious and sweat the way Americans have been doing all these years, not to mention fearing illness and injury or having to pay everything you have, even losing your home and going into permanent debt to receive medical care.
Oh that we had anything near that power. We're so grateful to have semi-corporate healthcare finally after 50 years and behind the vast majority of developed countries. What a way to run a country, into the ground.
But it's still a good day since Scalia's SCOTUS could have killed the ACA. Count our blessings I suppose.
Buy-Partisanship and the CEO Party are good for transnational corps. and the investor class, regular Americans not so much.

(41,118 posts)No more states or countries just pure, raw and freaky oligarchic, global corporate rule with token politicos who are bought. Do we even need a Congress anymore I wonder. Most of them are multimillionaires and the Senate almost functions like a House of Lords.
I swear I heard Nikki Haley just say she was a CEO, thought only W was dumb enough to do that. They aren't kidding-
*On a lighter note, that's an adorable Bernie Bear. It seems darker which I like, than the lighter ones I've seen online and Thom H.'s program. Maybe it's the lighting.
