My how things change!
For most of my adult life I have worked on campaigns, belonged to and was active in lots of political organizations or at least organizations who were loosely associated with government. I even helped create and helped write bylaws for and was vice chair of a state wide organization that proudly still exists and has been wildly successful in keeping the very bad laws at bay. I have done so many things but my husband never was involved. The most he did was pick me up from time to time or come to an election waiting party.
He is now in the other room phone banking for Bernie. I taught phone banking for a while, loved it and hated it but he never would do anything like this. No signs or bumper stickers even though he was always pretty passionate about it.
HE IS PHONE BANKING FOR BERNIE! I am shut my mouth stunned. AND HAPPY!
Tonight we are driving in to Kansas City to hear Amy Goodman with one of our sons and his wonderful girlfriend (who told me about the event). I anticipate he will be fired up enough after all of this to do more.
Just wanted to say on top of this, I don't post a lot but I read, you all are the best. Bernie is by far the best, in fact he is the ONLY candidate that I can see as an actual old style (and should have remained the style) Democrat. I have been proud to be on this ride with all of you and we will finish this out. Good or bad? I think we are looking at some very interesting and good months coming up.
Hee Hee, I told him to smile. They can hear that in your voice. I walked by and he had a grin on his face, lol. Never thought I would ever see this.
