Its really stupid to trumpet being banned from the Hillary Group. The future world is at stake here.

Look at it this way, the outcome of this election will be the biggest possible difference in somebody's lives possible. Its going to mean maybe a half million to a million dollars over most of our lifetimes (healthcare already costs over $500k per American over your life and its rising fast)

This is enough to buy a house. Its the main reason Canadian families are in far better shape than US families.

NO Hillary will not fix anything. Hillary will not improve the economy. Hillary will not help working families. thats all a big lie that people repeat so they don't freak out. But we all know it simply is not true.

Work to get Bernie nominated- (And make sure you get people's contact info because if he's not nominated then people need a plan B. Bernie's Plan B seems to be endorsing Hillary.)

. Don't waste time on childish things.

Bernie is as good as a mainstream candidate gets. the difference between Bernie and Hillary and the other neoliberals of both parties is stark - This choice couldn't be clearer. One is a healer...

CHOOSE LIFE.

If you're a young person, do you ever want to be able to have the financial stability to marry and start a fmily? or do you want a life of quasi unemployment and underemployment and eventually homelessness or exile to some other country and poverty there.

Do you want your kids to be doctors and scientists, or hookers and 'businessmen" (gangsters)

(the only two occupations available in slum areas around the world)

thats what happens when a country is a victim of ultra-capitalism. there is no slack, the whole point of these huge corporations is to take that and give back NOTHING.

Hillary is the Austerity candidate.

Big changes are coming in workplaces from trade deals that throw open the borders to corporations to move their workers around "temporarily" at will and pay them very low wages- No new trade deals are required to do this. (but they would make it worse by encouraging/endorsing the bad model)

That will cause an economic implosion because people will stop spending.

Thats what Bernie was talking about when he said we need a new economic model- none of the old ones carries the moral imperatives we need. this is basically a life or death issue for our species-

If we cannot move beyond this mind set our species is toast. We wont last this century.

Think!

I know this is all absurd. I desperately want Bernie to win. But for me, posting about being blocked by Her group is blowing off steam, with the plus of feeling superior for a minute.

And the shape of this blockade tells us a lot. Whats being suppressed.

Do the people doing these things even know?

It seems the blog owners know.

#790 checking in. Of course we know all of this; that's why we support Bernie! We are just surprised at how the Hillary group is so quick to ban anyone who even corrects false statements. They don't want to engage with the issues; that is sad, and doesn't give Bernie's supporters any reason to vote for her if she wins the nomination.

virtually nobody in the US understands it.

And thats a problem.

just pray she does not win. A lot more is riding on this than people think.

I know that the situation is dire, but people are getting fed up with the status quo. The first sign of that was the Occupy movement, and nowe for the first time in decades, we have a candidate who is challenging the status quo. Even the benighted Trump supporters realize that something has gone seriously wrong with this country. If by some miracle, Bernie wins the nomination, and Trump gets derailed, I bet some of his supporters would vote for Bernie over the Republican candidate.

And remember, young people get their news from the internet, which the media can't control. So all hope is not lost!

We both know how important this election is, and how much vilification of Bernie and his supporters has occurred. Let's hope that New York will help him today! A lot rides on this primary.

But, then again that's the Hillarian Groups problem. Most people weren't banned for being snarky, disruptive, rude, dishonest, or for personal attacks. Most were banned for having a Bernie banner or avatar. So basically for showing up and posting.

As far as I am concerned, the inordinate, completely irrational, spontaneous blocking of DU members from that group demonstrates just how far to the extreme right that the cheerleaders of the 1%ers will go to in order to disrupt discussions taking place here in order to dismantle DU as a liberal site, one piece at a time.

Being close minded about issues affecting our lives is not just a prominent feature most Conservatives or Republicans display.
The incomprehensible attitude of authoritarians is what brought most members to the DU in the first place.
The status quo demands conformity!!

That much has been demonstrated already at the DU by the slow death of the BOG over the last 3 years.

The only thing the members of the HRC group can do now is blindly cheer for Hillary.
Like a bunch of adolescent, spoiled, snot-nosed 14 year-old girls making fun of one of their teachers, an old white guy who doesn't have much hair left on his head.

Not to worry, those members can probably choose to sell their pompons on eBay after the Democratic National Convention is held later this summer.
However, they probably won't get much for their pompons, because they aren't worth much now due to all of the blood on them from Hillary blindly supporting the Iraq War, the war in Afghanistan, the war in Libya, and the war in Syria.

And, if Hillary gets a chance, she'll start a whole new war -- one with Iran!
You can bet your bottom dollar that if that warmonger gets in to White House next year, that's exactly what she will do!!!
