I tend to agree with you. I found some of his responses to Hayes at the Town Hall telling, also his comments about making sure Trump does not win. The question is not being asked and I still believe that he will be the nominee at the Convention.

He wins a majority of delegates and he controls the Convention. (super-delegates are not counted in those regards). He has already won enough that he has 30 minutes and his platform must be considered and voted on.

Can he do this? Can he win the nomination?

Hell yes he can.
