(14,691 posts)jury duty since April 11. Not sure why. One hide on April 19. Supposedly my chances are at 80%. Used to be on a jury several times a week. I even tried to be fair.

(26,371 posts)I'm sure it's just a coincidence that lots of Bernie folks are being taken out of the pool, though.

(55,981 posts)the more Sanders supporter that get banned the more juries are weighted to favor Clinton and so more of us will be banned.
If they really believed they had the nomination sewed up, why are these tactics necessary? It's a trick question. It's all about being able to bully us. The best way to handle it is to ignore them.

Haven't had a request in the last 10 days.

Edit and I stay logged in all day long.

(1,217 posts)imaginable. DU is losing members over this horseshit and the folks I joined DU to interact with are rarely here anymore....
Doesn't it seem that SOMEWHERE in the rulebook this matter of BS alerts would be addressed? If it's there I cannot find it.
We are domed and DU is likely domed too.

(7,499 posts)Now, I haven't had jury duty for a month or more. Really? What are the chances?
BTW - I just got called out by a "Bernie supporter" for daring to say that someone should learn the facts about the email scandal!
A "BERNIE" supporter!
Be careful out there. There are land mines everywhere.
Edit to add: The so-called Bernie supporter who called me out doesn't have one post here in the Bernie group. Isn't that interesting? Wolves in sheep's clothing. Again, be careful.

(10,622 posts)Most within less than a week, before that I had a perfect record for years, something is fishy.
Only the first hide nearly three months ago was offensive perhaps to some, but it was quite true, the only reason I was even posting it was because I was angry at a racist, and racist comments being whitewashed. (I am multiracial, and sometimes after years of being attacked over race from nearly all races, it is a hot button issue for me).

(55,981 posts)Targeting certain people, alert swarms, alert stalking, trying to get the first response post in Sanders OP's, controlling MIRT and the Host Forum. And lately they have "recruited" a ton of new members for Clinton. I am not calling them puppets but others are.
If they have the nomination wrapped up, why the harassment? Rhetorical question, answer - because they can.

(3,111 posts)how do I change this?
Newsflash, found the setting under "My Account". Funny thing is that I never changed it, and served on many juries before. Could it be that I opted out too many times?

(10,622 posts)Democrat (had been that way for 37 years and I vote every election) to "unaffiliated" sometime around march, without my consent, knowledge, or even a polite notification of the change in my party status that left me unable to vote in my NYS primary, since the first time ever (excluding 2002 when I was in the hospital and didn't think to get an absentee ballot they are very hard to get in my State, lots of red tape).
I only found out about it when warnings were floating around the site to check one's voting status, I completely expected everything to be the same, I haven't even moved in 25 years and never had a problem before. Somehow tho, I am no longer a Democrat after a lifetime of being one.
They don't want me in the party or in the voting booth as far as I can tell by their kicking me out of the party, but the joke is on them, I can still vote in the GE, perhaps without the usual clothespin this time as I no longer should be expected to exude party loyalty after the party kicked me out.

(8,464 posts)It's easy to do.
Members may be asked to serve regularly on a Jury, although they will not be asked more than once every 18 hours. A member who is chosen to serve on a Jury is presented with a notification on all DU pages requesting that they participate. They may choose one of three options:
"YES, I can serve now" (the member is immediately seated on a Jury)
"NO, I can't serve now" (the member is not seated on a Jury and cannot be selected again for a minimum of 18 hours)
"Don't ask me again" (the member is not seated on a Jury and their "Willingness to serve on a DU Jury" option is set to "Unwilling"![]()

It's amazing how they are so blatant in their wanting to rig the system...must be coming from some great leadership in their quarters. If you can't win fairly, rig it.
