He bought because gasoline had gone up to 35 cents! I guess he forgot he was 6' 4". In hindsight, I guess he bought it when he was manic. Anyway, I had to leave it behind for my brother to drive when I went to college in '76. I think my cousin still has his Karmann Ghia convertible.
