The structure is probably at or near Bellanca Avenue...so, North side landings should get the best view...North runways are on the Terminals 1 (Southwest), 2 & 3 (JetBlue, Virgin, Air Canada, Spirit, etc.) side. When landing, look down once you cross the San Diego Freeway 405...that is about 1-2 minutes before landing, so it should be readable.

I was working for this dude who was running for the U.S. Senate to take Bob Pokeweed's seat (aka Bob Packwood) and we found this dude who OWNED an equipment rental yard.

We painted a 12 foot wide slab of plywood-maybe 14' with the name of the guy running against Packwood. I did most of the painting using stencils and some creative painting to make it look nice. It was the large size which required 2 people to carry. On the top portion we drilled 2 holes big enough so that the sign could hang, but required small gauge cables because of the weight. The owner then tied one end of the cable to a cherry picker and hoisted it about 60-70 feet in the air-high enough to be visible to traffic on I-5 through Eugene. It qualified as a medium sized billboard in comparison to the super billboards along freeways. The sign lasted for about a week until someone threatened the owner if he didn't bring it down (obviously a repuke).

So the moral of this story is, we applied the same "out-of-the-box" thinking to promote our candidate in a yuuuuuge way. And if you run into someone who owns an equipment yard, do everything you can to be their best friend. You may need them at some point in the future.
