Conservative elites for Hillary?

We're hearing a lot about this lately, apparently even being promoted by the HRH campaign. Her former "enemies she's most proud of" are apparently now going to be her friends?

But why? Why would they like her better than him? I don't see this question being asked much.

The reasons given of course are that he'd be so terrible for the country. Really? So after hating on moderate Obama for the last 8 years, all these guys suddenly had a mass "come to Jesus" moment, and decided that Dubya really was a disaster they don't want to repeat?

So what's the real story here?

Remember the pics of Hillary and Trump. Clintons and Bush's, Kissenger and Clinton, Wall Street big shots and Clinton and on and one...that's why.

...why would they be saying NeverTrump, and that they may go so far as to hold their nose and vote for her?

the vulture capitalists, takes them for a ride and leaves then hanging for the bill. They are afraid of Trump because they see themselves in him.

5. But how might that manifest itself with him as POTUS?

What specifically are they afraid of?

For them to offer even an inkling of suggestion that they'd consider her, freaking might as well be pigs flying.

That any of them would take her for a second might sit fine with Camp Hubris, but inquiring minds...

8. Just a thought. But let's say you have a business, with naturally a business loan.

You have to have those loans or lines of credit to purchase the material for what ever you are selling. The interest rates and the amounts the banks lend you determine the success or failure of your business. You have to bankruptcy to get the SOB's off your back, that is what bankruptcy is for.

I will bet that most of his supporters know his history with bankruptcies and I would bet that most of his supporters empathize with him.

This is just a guess.

that the Republican political figures (who Republican voters didn't listen to) who now prefer Hillary are up in arms over the us vs. them rhetoric. It's more comforting. But they're mostly not, and for a lot of people saying that is a cover - that sentiment has always been there, just delivered a bit more under the radar. Most of them are more comfortable with Hillary Clinton because they're good with her on free trade policy, or military interventionism (the 2 most important things to them, and Republican orthodoxy), where Donald Trump is running to her left. It's why people like Bill Kristol and Robert Kagan have come out for her. Republican voters (not to be confused with Republican political figures) just elected a guy who rails against Bill Clinton for NAFTA, and whose vows to punish outsourcers with tariffs are what gets the biggest cheers at his rallies.

And it's not going to be a case the Clinton campaign is going to be able to counter. Hillary Clinton's record on free trade is clear to all, and so is Bill's, and any claim of hers to be against the TPP is going to be met with derision. This is not hard to see. It'll look something like this (it's already starting to):

So look folks, Hillary Clinton said she was totally against free trade with Colombia when she was running against Obama last time. Then her emails come out and we find out that she was totally for it, and trying to get other Senators to vote for it. You can't trust her. By the way, stuff like that's probably why she wanted her private server, as well as other things, which the Democrats are totally protecting her on. Anyone else would have been indicted, that's why I call her Crooked Hillary. Hillary and Obama both said when they were running in 2008 that they were totally against NAFTA, and they wanted to renegotiate it. Well, they're politicians, folks - they tell you one thing, and do another. They never lifted a finger to do it over 8 years. Now Obama wants the TPP, which is a thousand times worse, and so does Hillary. Not good. Not good. Oh, I heard her say a little while ago that she was against it now, but come on folks. She spent years selling it as the "gold standard", and she lied for weeks about being under sniper fire in Bosnia when she never was. Do you think someone who lies to you about being under sniper fire in Bosnia is gonna tell you the truth about the TPP when she wants your vote? Crooked Hillary, Crooked Hillary. Now look, I don't agree with Bernie on most things, but he gets it on trade. He gets it. But he can't fix it because he doesn't know how to make great deals, and the Democratic system was totally against him so you've got Crooked Hillary. But at least he knows what the problem is. I've spent all this time going around this country, and it's sad seeing all these closed factories where people used to work. Now they're working harder for less money, or can't work at all, because our politicians are totally clueless. Or if they're not clueless, they're taking campaign contributions from people who want these free trade deals that are bad for America. Not good, folks, not good. But we're gonna change that.

No really.
And just think, the other day I posted in ATA that the only thing we could all agree on is our dislike of Bush, Cheney & Rove. Soon she'll snuggle in that Koch endorsement. There are some things that should just come with a do not touch warning label.
