Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumSo I have been blocked from the Democrats group
....and I have been a Democrat all my life.
My sin: I accidentally posted an OP there instead of here in the Bernie group. I can see locking my OP, but BLOCKING me from the Democrats? Crazy, crazy, crazy.
Here's my OP
......................................................
I have no respect for people who are afraid of ideas and words.
Zero respect.
This is especially true for those who call themselves Democrats.
I posted a brief note about Peggy Noonan's new piece in the Wall Street Journal regarding the Clinton Foundation corruption. I went into no details, and provided no link to it, out of courtesy for those who are afraid of conservatives. It was just a heads up that Noonan's piece might affect Hillary's current wooing of establishment Republicans.
The Hillaryans went nuts, as usual. One hysterical alerter hollered something about the piece being from Breitbart in the alert.

There's the link.
Pure censorship, here on DU.

We said that as kids when we played Combat with fake guns.

(5,390 posts)we are no longer needed nor wanted. They are in the middle of creating a new and improved party that began to rise when raygun democrats infiltrated our party in the 80's.

(50,130 posts)Well, then, I guess they can't blame progressives/liberals from fighting back.

(5,390 posts)I have been voting D and supporting my party since 1972. It has been a slow takeover with a little concession here and there over the years. Life was easy for many in the 90's so they thought a little compromise on issues that didn't affect them was no big deal. Then we got bush. Our party leaders are too afraid of the Republicans to stand up and fight for the issues our party has stood for since FDR. Now according to our party chair we are a big fugging tent and there is room for disaffected R's and their values.

(36,392 posts)All of the members of the 20th century version of the party (SS, Medicare, CRA, VRA, Medicaid, New Frontier...) were booted from the HRC group, but in practice the Democrats group is just a duplicate of that one.

They must be feeling VERY insecure -- and we should take hope and strength from that.
I think they are trying to get us flagged for review.

(1,166 posts)info, etc., having to do with Bernie) and was pretty taken aback at the sort of discourse coming from Hillary supporters plus all the blocking, alerting, etc. I changed my registration from Democrat to Independent after Bill Clinton's first term and only re-registered as Democrat to vote for Bernie. It's dispiriting to see how much the rampant corporatism in the US has seeped into the DNA of people who identify as Democrats these days and to realize that, for those people, "old school" Democrats are perceived as the enemy to a great degree.

(4,490 posts)I checked it out and I saw them being trashy human beings, and let them know. A whole thread of Clinton supporters openly patting themselves on the back for being rotten trolls. Asked them to add me to their list, and William complied. I get tired of their bullying. Clinton will probably win this thing at the convention, and should be able to throttle Trump. But they are really going out of their way to discourage support for their own candidate.
They really are trying to take this party to the landfill. The party's most famous member who everyone had written in as the next POTUS losing so much ground to an independent socialist in the primaries should give them a hint that all is not well. Instead they are upset that there are too many people allowed to vote in our primaries. They're completely unhinged, at least on this site.
