Many people will say today's primary means nothing. A YUGE win in NE D-2 today is a win for Bernie. Freshman Congressman Ashford (endorsed Hillary last year) has already said (because Bernie won BIG at the caucus) he isn't going to the convention. A similar land slide gives Bernie fans the ammo to get Ashford to go vote Bernie at the convention!

(3,133 posts)2. Please explain today and your vote? I thought it was on March 5?
Nebraska's primary May 10 is only for Republicans; Democrats in the state held their caucus March ...

(99,489 posts)3. NE never caucused before 2008
State law was never amended. It basically says a primary must be held on the second Tuesday in May. Because the D party held a caucus for it's official results, the primary results for POTUS today are considered meaningless.
Here is what my closed primary sample ballot looks like.

(45,251 posts)4. That's great, Steve. I felt wonderful when I voted for Bernie in the Massachusetts primary.
Even with the shenanigans of Bubba, Boston's Mayor, etc., Bernie won more delegates in Massachusetts than Obama in 2008--and lost to Hillary by only one delegate. Hope you get even better results than that.
