The history of how up became down. A brief history of economics.

I'm posting this here, since I can't imagine anyone but Bernie supporters being interested, and because he mentions Bernie.

About 20 minutes into this talk, Wolff talks about the economics before FDR, during FDR, and after FDR, since that was the inflection point on which economics in America went from sane to corporate-batshit-crazy, starting in 1945, and leading up to today.

What Bernie is doing is trying to take us back to what once was, before the corporations and politicians demonized this humane way of running a society, which Americans wanted at one point, but have now lost sight of, to their own peril.

This talk explains pretty much everything politics. The why and how. The cycles we see. Even the racism. This should be required information for everyone in grade school. The alternative to knowing this is being at the mercy of newspapers and politicians who are now part of the process of keeping things the way they are rather than how they should be.

edit- towards the end is a prognosis of Bernie's presidency. What happens when Congress doesn't want to work with him...

I don't have an hour of undivided attention to give at the moment. Thanks for posting it though
