Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumNO, I am NOT ashamed to be a Bernie supporter, you Brock Troll! I AM VERY PROUD!
This is my response to a post that was hidden. The post from what appeared to be a Brock troll asked if Bernie supporters were now ashamed to be Bernie supporters given the behavior of a few who, the poster, stated were Bernie Bros whose disruptions were over the top (paraphrased). This is my reply and I feel that it bears repeating:
Bernie supporters have had to endure their candidate's being ignored and marginalized as well as his positions first being misrepresented and then, when they gain traction, being "adopted" by Hillary who, I fear, has not intent of ever implementing them. Next, these supporters face voter suppression, many of them life-long Democrats. Then, rules are changed to suit the Hillary Campaign. To add insult to injury, Bernie supporters are told that they are expected to vote a certain way in November. I could go on and on.
I do find it interesting that Hillary supports claim to be so very much in support of her as the nominee and then as president but the DNC must open the flood gates to get corporate, billionaire, and Wall Street money to finance her campaign. If Hillary supporters are so supportive of her, show her the money as we have for Bernie.
No, I am NOT ashamed to be a Bernie supporter. I am ashamed at what the Democratic Party (or should we rename it the un-Democratic Party) has become. I fear that the Party, a Party that I have been an activist for as a child, years and years before I could even vote, will lose at least 25% of its members if Hillary wins the nomination. These Democrats will leave disillusioned and disgusted. The party that has its roots since FDR in fighting for and representing the people is fast transforming itself into the party of the wealthy, corporations, and Wall Street. That is what this election is really about--people have awakened finally to what has been happening to working class people, the 98%, over the last 35 years, during both Republican and Democratic administrations. Neither party any more seems to give a damn for the common good or for the 98%. They are almost all for sale and not even to the highest bidder.

(14,255 posts)me; I am funny about real things like issues'n'stuff.
Made-up Bernie controversy just makes me ashamed of being in the Democratic Party. I am out on Aug. 30, or sooner, if the primary has early voting.

(4,205 posts)After today changing from Dem, the depuplican/remocrat party has drifted so far from its roots as to be unidentifiable any more, the differences in the "leaders" of the existing party that refers to itself as Democrat are not far enough from the repugs to make any realistic difference in the end..
I am actually ashamed to be a registered democrat anymore...

Oh the drama. This OP has already been hidden once because it breaks multiple DU rules. I sympathize with the poster's frustration, but calling out every "Hillary supporter" on DU by calling them names and making wild accusations. Just stop.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue May 17, 2016, 05:56 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Boy, are we being trolled. By Brock-paid trolls. How can they be pissy about it, when Brock announced he was doing that? For a million dollars?
We need to set up a GoFundMe for adult diapers and nuk-nuks.
