The nightmare is coming true. The latest national polls to come out don't show Drumpf gaining on Hillary any longer...HES IN THE LEAD. That's right.
Clinton 37% Trump 42%

Congratulations, Hillary supporters, you've done it! You have successfully turned this race into a repeat of 2004. You chose the weakest candidate to lead the party because the other guy was "too radical to ever win" well now look what you've done, you must be proud.

(1,000 posts)It's going to be a repeat of 1980. 2004 was actually close, at least in the popular vote. Trump vs. Clinton won't be.
There will probably be a John Anderson in the race too and it won't help her like Perot's presence helped her husband. Trump's margin of victory will be too large.

(6,409 posts)Remember the early polls that showed Bernie losing to Hillary in every state? By huge margins? That was before Bernie got his campaign going, before people found out about him. Different story now. Same with Trump. This early on, people think they'll vote for him because he's different, new, exciting, an outsider, etc. Once they get to know him, they'll not be so glib about him. To know him is not to love him, and many, many people will vote for Clinton once they get to know Trump. I hope.

(4,667 posts)Hillary has the exact same problem - she has extremely high negatives, basically a statistical tie with trump.
Its unprecedented for both candidates to be so untrusted and unpopular.

(10,559 posts)The video with her lying for 13 minutes straight has over SEVEN MILLION hits, policies she supported and promoted during her husband's administration have decimated the middle class, her Senate time is tainted by her IWR support, her State tenure is one debacle endangering national security after another (see New York Times Libya video) with bonus legal problems both civilly currently in place and possible criminal indictment on the horizon. Toss in her husband traveling with a convicted pedophile and the two of them collecting cash from nefarious sources, and "throw the bums out!" puts Trump in office.

(42 posts)Absolutely the weakest candidate with the most baggage. Wake up before it's too late. Enough with the Clinton's. It is now over 35% Democrats and Independents that will not vote for Hillary. If not Bernie, then who? Hillary or Trump. That's the nightmare. I must be true to myself. If not Bernie, I am going Green Party.

(41,600 posts)a shit who wins if it's between Trump and Clinton. Otherwise, they'd be doing everything in their power to get the one person who can win HUGE elected...and that's BERNIE.
But Bernie now has the ammo needed going into the convention. The Super Delegates will expose themselves if they vote for Clinton and then we'll know, without a shadow of doubt, their intentions and just how thoroughly CORRUPT they all are.
If they really want to win, they'll vote for Bernie. If they don't vote for him, we'll know it's all about their gravy train. Period.
GO BERNIE!

(3,544 posts)Hmm, complete turned around now, eh?
Roll call still has not been taken regarding the super delegates (although a lot have supposedly committed to HRC prematurely).
So the job of the super delegate was put in place to stop outsiders from taking over the party and also allows them to put forth the best candidate. Right?
So imagine this. Imagine Bernie wins most of the remaining states. HRC continues her downward spiral regarding elect-ability. Soon, it is obvious as to which candidate will be able to beat Trump, which is the democrats main objective. And lets say, that even though HRC may have more votes, the super delegates realize we will lose with HRC, and switch their premature votes at the convention for Bernie. IT CAN HAPPEN!!!
I know it's really late for this to be occurring, but this revolution is very real. I am not taking ANYTHING off of the table. It's ON.

(3,919 posts)it will be career suicide for any legislators who are superdelegates to not switch their "promise" from hillary to bernie.
the lobbyists, however, will loose their bonus if they do not keep their alliance with hillary.
