Whut? To save SCOTUS I -must vote for a white, jewish, anti-war, progressive movement starter

who lives in an upscale white suburb, and who voted against the PATRIOT ACT, against the IRAQ WAR and who voted to allow guns on trains, and perhaps worst, is divorced (twice) and married to ugh!! an academic (an English major LIBRARIAN!!!) ...

No, not Sanders. Feingold. A guy with whom WI has good chance of ousting a republican from the Senate.

I'm told daily on this website that I'm supposed to find Sanders' credential disqualifying for the presidency, and yet nearly a carbon copy of Sanders is supposed to be a savior for Dems and the senate.

Cognitive Dissonance.

1. If I met Feingold, I would happily genuflect. I hope he has not changed, though.

I've read some rumblings. I hope to heaven they are not accurate.

senatorial seats for Dems.

Feingold's biggest difference with Sanders is that Feingold believes in PACs. His Progressives United as a movement was mostly a PAC.

3. Of course, it's true. Hence my willingness to genuflect.

The PAC is one of the changes to which my prior post referred.

But, that is not an insignificant difference, IMO nor of course, is not the only difference.

Feingold is a long time Democrat. Sanders did not want to obligated to the big donors of the Party.

I am a fan, though, and believe he will do the right things.

4. Difference is, he isn't running against a "Inevitable" Chosen One

If he were, you can be sure the same slurs would be used against him.

We ought to just admit that historic records, experience and ability really have nothing to do with the ugly contest being waged for the presidency.

In 2001, Feingold was the only Senator to vote against the Patriot Act. I can't find his original speech transcript from 2001--The reason I admire him so much.

That speech was great and why I wanted him to run for President. I'm not even from Wisconsin...

From the video:
"Senator Russ Feingold, one of America's most famous politic leaders, served in the United States Senate for 18 years. Senator Feingold is best known for his work with Senator John McCain to clean-up election campaign finance abuses, via the Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002. The act bans soft money contributed to candidates and parties, "thus closing the loophole that has significantly affected our national political priorities for the past decade." He aimed to blunt the influence of "larger moneyed interests." He exhorted that the 2004 Democratic Convention was a "corporate trade show."

8. Yes, he's absolutely terrible. Having him in the Senate would be a disaster for a New Dem president

Clearly, WI voters should be encouraged to vote for the alternative.

WHUUT??

Playing out the logic of HRC/DWS hurts my head.

"It's all about perception. The facts won't matter after the election."

Bernie Sanders and Russ Feingold are old school Democrats like FDR.
They believe in government of, by and for the People. That doesn't seem
to play well for HRC/DWS.
