Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI'm Kind Of Baffled By Groups Like Ready For Warren And Run Warren Run.
I used to be part of Run Warren Run. What I don't understand is: why aren't these groups getting behind Bernie??? He obviously lines up with their views! But moveon.org is still sitting there eyes wide, tail wagging waiting for a woman who has made it clear she is not running to announce a run! GET BEHIND BERNIE! HE IS JUST AS PROGRESSIVE! Are these progressive groups scared of the word SOCIALISM too???? What are they waiting for?
UPDATE: I HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THE GROUP READY FOR WARREN IS NOW RENAMED READY TO FIGHT AND IS SUPPORTING BERNIE SANDERS.
Moveon.org however, not yet.

(14,255 posts)Former Ready For Warren Group Formally Endorses Bernie Sanders For President
The coalition of progressive groups that tried to draft Elizabeth Warren to run in 2016 has officially endorsed Bernie Sanders for president.
The group has rebranded itself as Ready To Fight and announced their support for Bernie Sanders:
But having demonstrated how much support Elizabeth Warren has, weve spent the past few weeks listening to our grassroots supporters and the progressive community about what they want to do next. And one thing we heard time and again is that theyre ready to play a big role in 2016, fighting alongside Warren on issues like trade, student debt, and reining in Wall Street.
They are also ready to back Warren Wing candidates who embody Warrens fearless brand of progressive populism. And although it isnt just about the presidency, 58% of supporters have urged us to back Bernie Sanders as the candidate currently running for president who best embodies the values that Warren champions.
Thats why on Friday, Ready for Warren is launching a new grassroots initiative called Ready to Fight and Ready to Fight is endorsing Bernie Sanders as its candidate for president.

(62,325 posts)Forget about MoveOn, they got on the inside and are probably waiting for a green light. Left that organization years ago.
We need to support the real progressive organizations, not these on the fence people who seem to have their own agenda or someone else's.

(3,431 posts)has a way of appealing more to the moderate
to conservative side.
I visited twice their meetings in town, mentioned
tariffs, and was scolded to no end.
I would not be surprised if that group goes
for HRC.
