Omg! Dick Van Dyke was on the stump tonite in Santa Monica for Bernie!

Donkees - find that link

All I have is this at 38:00 (after Rosario, who came after Cenk)

And there ya go - Dick Van Dyke is 90 saying he is campaigning for that young guy Bernie Sanders
Love that with all the "Bernie is too old" posts.

I have been a fan of Dick Van Dyke forever and ever, this just thrills me.

at around that time. Let's just say that in those days, Mary Poppins lunch boxes weren't considered to be "boys'" lunch boxes.

I'd actually wanted a Lost In Space lunch box (anything with a space theme was "OK" for boys), or even Wild, Wild West, so I don't know how I ended up with Mary Poppins. Maybe it was on sale or something. Anyway, I ended up not having any lunch on that day.

Mary Poppins every nite at bedtime.

Lol. It's funny, I find myself sitting there watching it with her for a few minutes every nite.
It really is a great movie.

Though it was on re-release, as I hadn't been born in 1964. I was a little too young to sit through such a long film, I think I was around 4 or 5, so this must have been around 1972. Maybe '71, as I think Disney was re-releasing films at 7-year intervals at the time.

Since we were little, my sisters and I always thought he looked like our dad. My dad would have been 91 this year. He also would have been a Sanders supporter.

My kids used to say that Mary Tyler Moore reminded them of me. Guess they thought I was flakey, but funny??
