which is why the edges are clipped, along with people living there, in an attempt to contain, define and maintain control.

This closed DC culture has grown too rigid and stagnant, so much that it has lost touch with the edges of new growth and innovation, we need new blood and they can sense how obsolete many of them have become. The old school corrupt politics as usual is what needs to be clipped off and ended, their practices have endangered our survival and health.

A Ghandi or MLK sees things with extreme honesty and clarity. It's the rest of us, our society, who try to pretend that wrongs aren't really wrong, or that they can't be fixed. We're the round holes trying to fit into square pegs.
