http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2016/05/gaius-publius-networks-are-colluding-to-declare-clinton-the-overall-winner-before-california-polls-close.htmlWhat followed, if Matthews is to be taken at his word, is clear evidence that television networks are colluding together to call the primary for Hillary Clinton before she reaches the delegates needed to claim victory. By doing so, they will absolutely suppress the vote in the final states that will be cast ballots in the Democratic primary. Even by mentioning it now, that the networks have already set the date and time they are calling the race for Hillary, what Matthews has done runs the very real risk of suppressing voter turnout. Its disgusting.

(5,191 posts)Or is that fact that so many Clinton supporters are OK with the media thumbing their noses at the Democratic process more unbelievable?

(62 posts)Chuck Todd stated laughingly that the NBC would announce Hillary as having crossed the threshold for the nomination after the results for New Jersey come in. He said it would be over for Bernie before the polls closed on the west coast. Disgusting!
I'm sure that's what he'll push on Bernie when he interviews him today. I hope that Bernie educates him about what democracy is. Chuck Todd doesn't have a clue!
PS. I'll be voting for Bernie in CA on June 7 and NOTHING is going to stop me!
PPS I love Bernie even more than ever! Chuck Todd asked Bernie question after question about the "horse race" of the primaries. He kept trying to get Bernie to speak as if he had already lost the election. The only policy question he asked was whether the Palestinians were the victims of colonialism. He tried to get him to say negative things about Hillary and Tim Kaine (!).
But Bernie kept on his points and managed to talk about income inequality and his other issues. Well done, Bernie!

(5,198 posts)Bernie Sanders would sweep the country across the spectrum, from all walks of life, in a landslide--and they know it. Too bad he is still filling stadiums and passing the word first hand.
