NY Daily News: Clinton has been caught lying for a year in email scandal
In an interview with Andrea Mitchell, Clinton said everything she did with her email was "fully above board" and "allowed by the State Department, as they have confirmed." Soon after that interview, she did another one with CNN where she said: "The truth is — everything I did was permitted and I went above and beyond what anybody could have expected in making sure if the State Department didn't capture something, I made a real effort to get it to them."
The report, though, stated repeatedly that not a single person could be found at the State Department who ever approved the way she was using personal email accounts and private servers. Not only that, but the report stated emphatically that had she asked the appropriate departments, they would've certainly denied her requests. The department inspector general (appointed by President Obama mind you) said Hillary Clinton's email systems were clear violations of the rules that were in place the entire time she was in office.
That's a problem. It's a real problem that the State Department she oversaw for four years cannot find a single person who backs up the claims she has repeatedly and confidently made for the past year. This was not a rushed investigation. It took them a year to produce it.
