I've gotten banned from posting in

the History of Feminism group for criticizing Hillary. I guess that group is now an extension of the Hillary Clinton group.

I'm disgusted with the sexism of some of the HRC supporters: the idea of "our woman, right or wrong".

2. Quite a few groups here are actually auxiliary HRC groups,

even though they are nominally dedicated to other topics.

Look at the hosts of those groups and you will see something like the old interlocking directorates of the Gilded Age.

It's funny how a small but very loud clique controls so much real estate here but claims to be so grievously persecuted.

and when you've been persecuted, anything you do is in reaction to that

it's the same dynamic that accounts for a lot in Israel, South Africa, or Serbia

I was thrilled when I was banned from the clinton group. It was not deliberate, but happened. Someone sensitive I guess. You are way ahead of me! All my fem friends are well educated and have lots of experience in their careers and are sort of past the battles. But I need to be careful to not be so lazy. Thank you for your post.

7. That's unfortunate that they want Hillary to be the "1st Woman"

She really could have been that, and I wish she had, but Faustian deals are far too tempting.

I'd rather someone else be the paragon for the movement. My relative Susan B. Anthony was far tougher and a better example for everyone. Equal rights.

to fall in line.

I got attacked yesterday on twitter by female Hillary supporters because I responded to a Bernie supporter about how Hillary is not a good role model for women because she lacks self respect. She stayed with Bill even tho he was lying to her & their daughter.
The cheating is one thing, but being married to someone who will lie to your face is another.

Omg - did they go after me! They called me young and clueless (I'm 60). I don't know what I'm talking about (BTDT)
on and on.

I would have so much more respect for Hillary as a woman if she would have let Bill finish out his Presidency and then told him to shove it, that she has too much respect for herself that she doesn't need a life partner that lies to her; and that she does not need a man to accomplish her life's goals.
What a powerful message that would have been for women everywhere that are too scared to leave. Especially if she ran for President as a divorced woman.

But instead she told women, oh well. He's my husband and I stand by him no matter what.

Sorry - got carried away

women can be jerks just as well as men. We're no paragons of virtue and the Clinton fans prove it.

She landed a job with Arkansas's biggest corporate law firm after Bill was elected the state's attorney general.
She was made a partner in said law firm after Bill was elected governor.
She got on the Wal-Mart board of directors because Bill was the governor.
She never would have been a Senator from New York, a state she had absolutely no previous ties to, if she hadn't been the wife of the President.

I saw that late last year and stopped going in there. It's a shame that you must support the worse of the two candidates on feminist issues in order to post in HoF.
