http://www.wsj.com/articles/hillarys-crooked-defense-1464642536In short, this is a woman who never tells the truth when a lie will serve her purposes equally well.
What an extraordinary place this has left her party and her country. Here we are, six months out from the presidential election, and the Democratic nominee is under federal investigation.
It used to be, before the Clintons first moved into the White House, that having no criminal conviction was something that kept you out of prison. But the way Mrs. Clinton and her defenders talk, its almost as though it should make her president.

(11,785 posts)The $64,000 question is how much of her support (including superdelegate support) is blindly committed to her. As cynical as we are about party leadership preferring a loss in November to risking a loss of the status quo with Bernie, I believe there are still a lot of Dems out there who want to win, goddammit. And even some of the more calculating ones may be starting to wonder if they can have their cake and eat it, too, and are talking themselves into the idea that Hillary could be replaced with someone who's establishment-friendly yet less scandal-ridden.
