Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWherever you are going, whatever happens....remember this:
You have been a part of an historic campaign that has turned into a movement that is transforming America!
You have labored here to bring truth to power, to fight the status quo and all those who deal in policies that allow war, poverty, mass incarceration, profiteering, fracking, and so much more.
And you have been belittled for being a progressive, for just telling the truth and presenting the evidence.
Remember that power lies with the people, always. Always. A giant is awakened, and eyes the status quo. The establishment will not prevail for long now. Change will come.
We stand in good stead with MLKJr, RFK, JFK, Paul Wellstone, and all of our other heroes. We are one with them on the right side of history.

Something like that.

grasswire
(50,130 posts)We aren't done yet, and are in the process of changing the world!
Bernie will be the head of a YUGE movement of people -- a movement that is larger than the Third Way -- a movement of progressives AND independents that will form a voting coalition to transform America.
Bernie will be more powerful at the head of that coalition than as a Democratic president. Because the tsunami of populism will not allow another rigged election. Change is coming.
We are part of it!!

(17,656 posts)Pardon me, but the question still remains unanswered: Why were we silenced here by 1 group of people?
Some of whom had to gain amnesty from the forum admin of this message board.
What the fuck?
It makes no sense.
I think tomorrow, on June 7th, it will become painfully obvious to everyone shortly after 7 PM EST, that the Democratic party does not have a definitive nominee.
This campaign will still be active clear until the party's national convention is held in late July.
I guess we'll have to wait until then, until after the convention is over, to see if we will still be allowed to comment here at all.
Nevertheless, I think there is a good chance that DU's collective cognitive dissonance will evaporate in to thin air after tomorrow, after the primaries are over.
But, be warned . . . after Hillary's supporters at DU realize all this, they are going to be angry.
Once it sinks in that Hillary hasn't defeated Bernie, her supporters at DU are going to lash out at us.
They will alert on our comments like never before.

Major Hogwash
(17,656 posts)It may consume the owner.
Yet, it has a limit.
And then the owner either gives up on whatever angered them to begin with and moves on, or they suffer a psychotic break with reality.
I personally know a person who had such a psychotic break.
After treatment, he didn't remember the incident at all.
And just like new members of DU are not aware of what was posted in the Meta forum . . people who suffer psychotic breaks have no memory of what happened.
For them, it never really happened.

(3,919 posts)people - esp the young - are discussing their right to voice their vote - regardless what they hear on tv.
but, i think voters with young families and or individuals who work may be more easily discouraged if there are long lines at the polls or any other barriers to voting.
this latest just tells me the clintons know bernie's campaign can very well steal their precious. they no doubt have more ploys - i just read the state department will not be releasing her emails regarding the tpp & tpip.

(11,945 posts)Bernie is only 286 pledged delegates behind. After today, the margin could be much narrower. When he goes to the convention he could persuade SDs to vote for the candidate who can beat Trump.

(28,627 posts)What we have achieved in this short amount of time MUST carry on. If Clinton is the nominee she must be pushed to the left all the way. She will try to turn right as she leaves the Convention. We must support downticket races so that the people's candidates are elected into Congress. There's no turning back.
