[font color="#660033"size="3"face="arial"]The Peoples Summit, beginning Friday night in Chicago, promises to be a nexus for stories on the forefront of the progressive movement. To best chronicle these stories, heres what press needs to know:
If you are driving, the best parking is in Parking Lot C, McCormick Place
Media registration will take place next to the main registration area in the Lakeside Ballroom. You must pick up your media badge to attend the conference as well as to access press areas during the conference.
Registration opens at 3 p.m., Friday, June 17 in the Lakeside Ballroom, 3rd Floor, McCormick Place.

Opening Reception 5:30 p.m.
Opening Session 7 p.m. Visions of Justice - Featuring RoseAnn DeMoro, National Nurses United; Juan Gonzalez, Democracy Now; Van Jones, President, Dream Corps/CNN commentator; Naomi Klein, author This Changes Everything
Film Screenings 9:30 p.m. How to Let Go of the World: And Love the Things Climate Cant Change with Josh Fox, filmmaker and Shailene Woodley; Harvest of Empire with Juan Gonzalez; Fix It: Healthcare at the Tipping Point with Richard Master

General Session - 8:30 a.m. Justice, Solidarity Action, with Stories from the Field Keynote speaker Rev. William Barber, Moral Mondays Movement
General Session 9:30 a.m. Understanding Our Movement
Table Discussions 10:45 a.m.
General Session 1 p.m. A Peoples Agenda. Speakers include Congress member Tulsi Gabbard; Former Ohio State Sen. Nina Turner; Cook County Commissioner Jesus Chuy Garcia.
Breakout Sessions 2 p.m., multiple workshops, include such topics as the media and the movement; energy democracy and climate justice; the digital political revolution; ending voter suppression, mass incarceration, deportations, and gender inequality; building independent political power; #15 on campus, students, workers united to raise wages, not tuition.
Breakout Trainings 4 p.m. Topics include candidates running for local office; how to make political art; student action; digital political revolution.
Festival of Joyous Rebellion 6 p.m. Food carts, art-making, games
The People Speak 8:30 p.m. Dramatic readings of speeches, letters, poems, songs, etc. by a number of celebrated artists including Rosario Dawson, Gaby Hoffman, Kendrick Sampson, Wallace Shawn, and others. Inspired by Howard Zinns classic A Peoples History of the United States
Dance Party 11:30 p.m.
Special Film Screening 12 midnight Where to Invade Next hosted via Skype by Michael Moore
