The David W. Curtis Awards 2018
David W. Curtis spent his life helping others. He represented the disenfranchised and fought the fights many thought unwindable, including early battles seeking to legalize abortion in Vermont and to ensure the rights of gay and lesbian parents to adopt. In his later years, despite the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS and other health problems, David revitalized the Vermont Democratic Party, helping to lead the party to historic majorities it still enjoys today. He loved Willie Nelson, his midlife Camaro, and his children above all else. He is missed.”

If only they read DU, they wouldn't have featured him as a speaker at their big fundraising event for the Democratic Party (general admission tickets at $75).

The Blue Dog Coalition is backing conservative Democrats in various Congressional races around the country. As we all know, that's the only way any Democrat can win any election anywhere. The Vermont Democratic Party should forward all the dinner proceeds to the Blue Dog Coalition to help defeat progressives. That's the only way they can cleanse themselves of the taint of the Sanders money..

Bernie just isn't pure enough. Someone needs to call the Vermont Democratic party and tell them how wrong this is. He's not a Democrat!
