LIVE at the Sanders Institute Gathering: On the Front Lines, a Mayor’s Roundtable
Mayors from around the country and world will share their experience in moving progressive ideas from theory to implementation. As the elected leaders closest to the people, mayors have the opportunity to improve their constituent’s daily experience of living in a city and to see the results of their efforts on an immediate basis. These mayors believe they have the responsibility to go beyond traditional mayor’s concerns and to consider the larger issues affecting people’s lives. As leaders, they are constantly treading new ground and overcoming obstacles along the way. In this seminar, they will identify areas they believe need to be focused on by municipal leaders and others and share innovative policies, plans and successes.
