Sanders Wins South Carolina Labor Backing

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Speaking at a union hall here, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday welcomed news that the South Carolina AFL-CIO executive board passed a resolution supporting his candidacy for the Democratic Party presidential nomination and recommending his endorsement by the state and national labor organization.

“We call on the AFL-CIO, union members and working people everywhere to unite behind Bernie Sanders and elect the president America’s workers desperately need,” the resolution said. The resolution “strongly urges” the national AFL-CIO to endorse Sanders.

With Bernie's leadership, the unions should get stronger, and even with South Carolina, the union has nothing but lots of upside now if Bernie is elected.

Hillary will give you the lip service to the union and back the management.

If the locals and state speak up there's no way to cram in a phony poll and surveys

Erin McKee, president of the South Carolina AFL-CIO, said the executive board member who recommended Sanders said “nobody in a very long time has stood up for working people and labor like Bernie Sanders has.”

I got my Bernie bumper stickers yesterday and ran out and slapped one on my car. I've been handing them out to whoever will take them. When I find someone who doesn't know Bernie I give them an education and suggest they research him for themselves.
We need to spread the word!

and moving them to Southern States like SC isn't going to fly much longer. When those workers wake up to the fact they are working longer hours for less money than those in the States these Corporations like Boeing and the Foreign Car Manufacturers moving to SC have worked and earned...just MAYBE they will wake up.

Of course some here on DU might say: "But, Boeing and the Car Manufacturers can move their Ops to Indonesia, Russia, Afghanistan, Iraq, China, Australia" if our workers don't realize that they could lose their jobs by Protesting.

Well....the TPP/TPIP will be coming and then we are REALLY going to be in the SHIT STORM for Workers Rights...

So they Better Start Now getting those court cases through the Justice System BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
