to register as dems. I think there are a lot of independent and republican votes up for grabs. Hopefully the campaign is focusing on that.

We have to get independents and even Republicans to register as Democrats in those states that require it if they are truly wanting to support Bernie.

It's a damn shame that the deadline is Oct. 9th of this year. Very few people tend to pay attention this far in advance. We have work to do!!

A quick internet search indicated April, but even if you have a January primary, that's ABSURDLY early! Do you have to be registered 8 months ahead to vote in the general election?

I don't happen to live in NY, and I am a registered Democrat in my state, but I think here (NM) it's only a 30 day advance registration to vote in the primary.

edited to change the month of your primary, because I read the map wrong.
