I don't know if it's literally the DNC, as theoretically headed by Schultz. I think many in the party are more powerful than she is. I might just say the PTB, or whale power players, of the Democratic Party.

if they endorsed bernie & hillary won there would be backlash.The Clintons during obama years would only support those who
supported Hillary In 2008.Bill CLinton supporting obama in 2012 was all about helping hilary for 2016.

when Bernie starts winning primarys and caucus some who haven't declared may finally come out for Bernie.

Clinton is a safer bet to win the nomination, and there are not likely to be any favors granted by endorsing Bernie Sanders.

as endorsing who they think would be best for the country, they don't belong there. Many of them will votes themselves in the future.
