(14,733 posts)The notion that he's a guy who 'thinks he knows what's what, and won't listen to other people'. I don't think I saw it tied specifically to minorities at the time, though.

(14,255 posts)repeated.....and, unlike actual baggage, pretty soon it is eagerly latched on to as truth.
I guess I have seen too many of those bullshit "I support Bernie, BUT" posts. I apologize.

(15,480 posts)Otherwise, it does smell of a "concern" post. I also found it interesting that you did not include a single link as proof that this is being actually put out as a new meme. Did you see it on DU? If elsewhere, where?
Ken Burch
(50,254 posts)It's in the thread called "Why I'm NOT supporting Bernie" or something close to that.
I'm not a concern troller.

(36,669 posts)after all of this - the obvious shenanigans - how many people are really going to show up to vote for heir apparent Hillary?
She has the strong support of Wall Street, and some special interest groups. That's it. The $$$ may carry her through but how will that translate in the general?
I have a feeling 2016 is going to go very badly for democrats if this is the script.

(11,945 posts)Just the opposite: he stands up to the "authorities" in support of the people.
Now, Republicans, they're authoritarian. And I also get a whiff of that vibe from HC as well -- especially with her secretiveness and preference for the rich and famous. She doesn't seem to like ordinary people very much.

(1,557 posts)which now seems like laying the groundwork for this one. Lord, they're really getting desperate since the "he's a racist, misogynistic gun-humper" meme didn't play.

(11,945 posts)But I've listened to him talking "to" people every Friday for years on the Thom Hartmann radio show. He's considerate, soft-spoken, and kind. He readily and comfortably admits when he doesn't have an answer. And he seems to have a gift for remembering people's names.
What a nice man; I can hardly believe he's running for president.

(1,557 posts)And I just roll my eyes when they say that, because, as you say, that's what speeches are.

They going to be disapointed when they see what the other candidates are up to as well.

(62,325 posts)mainly because Bernie's supporters IGNORE THEM and keep moving forward, covering his events, focusing on the GOOD NEWS.
When we acknowledge these 'campaigns' we are giving them attention, rather than ignoring them and keep on CLIMBING.
I don't really care what the very expensive smear campaigners have to say. Ignore is the best way to destroy them.
But I'm getting tired of pointing this out frankly.
We help spread their garbage when we talk about it.
We have so much good stuff to keep talking about that will drown out their talking points, UNLESS we keep talking about them.
