Republicans make it soooooooo easy.....
Rand Paul: "If we spent $100,000 repairing a dam, how is that saving money"?
Bernie Sanders: "500,000 people live downstream Senator Paul".

(90,842 posts)rand paul needs to go back to school. This Kentucky Pipsqueak is deep-down in SO FAR over his head that he can't even see where "up" is. Such snark. He clearly thinks he's hot shit. He needs to be taught a thing or two. Starting with humility. THERE'S entitlement for you. HIM. Probably thinks he's going to show his dad how it's done.
They're both bozos if you ask me.

This is tremendous for anyone in a discussion of why the government spending more money on medicaid is not only the right thing to do, it is the fiscally conservative thing to do. It saves money on health care costs and emergency room treatments and nursing home costs.

(50,983 posts)...is only 68 and in a nursing home because of permanent brain damage from malnutrition. She is in a Medicaid facility. She is mentally ill and an alcoholic. Without getting into deep detail about why I was unable to personally successfully intervene until the situation became so extreme that she had to be hospitalized, I will say that I informed Florida Adult Protective Services that she was in danger. I told them that she was incompetent and mentally ill. I told them that if sent her money, she would spend it on cigarettes and alcohol. I told them that I did not have the resources to bring her into my home, where I do believe she would be a danger to my son and to my own mental health. I told them she had no life skills and needed professional intervention. They visited her, interviewed her on her front porch for about 10 minutes and closed the case. A year after that I flew out to Florida to find her hours away from death, unable to move and literally rotting in her own waste. She is now living in a nursing home with the kind of physical and mental health support she needs, but brain damage from malnutrition due to her "failure to thrive" as they say, is permanent.

(12,041 posts)He schooled him on the internet as well and that is a much bigger deal.
Rand Paul was depending on the same vocal group that used the internet to lift his father's campaign to do the same for his own. Ron Paul was really the candidate of the internet the last cycle, now don't get me wrong Obama got a bigger following once the primaries started but prior to the primaries no campaign on either side of the aisle got the level of internet support that Ron Paul's did.
Now that Rand Paul is running the internet has lost interest in the Pauls and Bernie has become the candidate of the internet. And unlike Paul, Bernie's ideas are actually sane and have much wider appeal than Paul's did.
This is great for Bernie and it spells doom for Rand Paul.

And so the Clintons didn't know what the Kochs were about when they teamed up with them to build the DLC?

I'm guessing though that it won't be Republicans that will use this against Hillary though, since their crowd is just as guilty of teaming up with these "commies"...
