Ok. I just decided I want to campaign for Bernie in my area.

I'd like to post something on my Facebook page, too, that would be somewhat informative
about Bernie. Anyone have any suggestions?

Funny but the thing that finally tipped my decision was the announcement by the local
Dem Party that the Hillary campaign is up and running. During the 2008 primaries,
there was a big stink because the Hillary people were actually using Dem HQ space
and time and assets for a brief bit (until they were caught) for Hillary efforts. Things
became a bit uncomfortable between some Obama supporters, and Hillary supporters.
And I saw Hillary supporters who had just looks of pure fury whenever they found out
someone was supporting Obama. At any rate, Hillary will have plenty of support here.

I wonder when something will come to my area for Bernie?

It's long but hopefully they will get sucked in. Best picture and sound of any of his videos I've seen. Worth the watch and really lets someone know where he stands.

3. And I agree that how supporters act will mean a lot to non political junkies

From just the most casual observation all over the internet, Sanders supporters seem enthusiastic and positive. There is an attitude that anyone who doesn't support hillary is naive or wanting a pony. There is no reason to go negative, if you have good points to support your candidate, share them. I think there's so much good to say about Bernie, that we don't even need to waste time on anything else. People know where she stands.

but it would have to be later in the year, like July or August. I did that with Obama several times.

most of my Facebook friends....though I think Bernie would.

I guess I'll poke around more, get more info first, then post my own testimonial.

I had a local TV station come and interview me when Barack was in the primary; it was great fun.
The news reporter asked me something like, in one or two words, what is your primary reason
for supporting Obama? I thought a moment, then said 'integrity'. (And I still think he has that,
because I saw from the very beginning that to Obama, the most important position was democracy
with a little 'd', not liberalism...a point most everyone else seems to have completely missed...though
that sure is clear by now!) By the way, the reporter almost drooled at my response (not on camera though).

Bernie strikes me as a man of integrity, and as the article says, honesty. I need a list of evidence,
his record, and so forth, to convince others. I have watched him in recent years, but not memorized
what he has done. I prefer to campaign selling my candidate and his ideas, based upon his/her history,
and have just a few savvy points if necessary regarding opponents. But mostly I just like to sell whomever
I am supporting. I think that is all the more important with a relative unknown. Or, to my wider circle
of friends, totally unknown.

I guess I did pretty well doing that for Barack, because I was given a thrill of a lifetime by being invited
to introduce Ted Kennedy when he came here to support Barack for the primaries. I liked the speech I wrote;
I think it was pretty good. Unfortunately, they told me I was going to be on CSPAN just an hour before, and I
was totally unprepared for that! So my delivery wasn't so good... Actually, when they invited me, I thought
they were going to tell me what to say, and it was only about one hour before we went on camera when they
told me that this should be my own words. Since I had been active in the campaign to that point, I had all
my ideas rather firmly in mind. It was a marvelous experience, nerves and all.

9. How about looking at his voting record and how he is rated on the issues?

Or videos of him speaking himself on the issues?

There are tons of videos on him on different issues.

Sounds like you have a little experience doing this, which is great.

Would love to have seen the CSpan interview, good for you.

Don't forget to keep us posted on how the meet up goes.

Second, you can like his stuff on Facebook, as well as posting your own.

Third, you can use the following as fodder for your own posts. (Stories posted at DU, too.)

This should help. I don't know many who loved the bankster bailout.
