I have an idea that could be interesting for the campaign

Do any of you think it would be funny to make Soviet-style art with Bernie in it? I'm trying to decide if it would turn out campy and get attention, or if it would fall flat, and all the dumbasses would say see, I told you so.

The reason I think it would be interesting is that our country has suffered so much these last 30 years, and the Republican Party who brought us to this point started it all with red-baiting the Democratic Party. The GOP had fresh, new ideas (from Milton Friedman), and Democrats represented the Russkies, who would be vanquished after the Republicans showed everybody their massive, throbbing capitalist dick. I think using the Soviet-inspired art would be a good way to point out their failures. I also think it would look hilarious for Bernie to be drawn wearing Lenin's hat and overcoat as he shows the crowd the way. What do you think?

Bernie isn't advocating anything of the sort and I don't think most would find it funny. I vote no.

I would not advocate for that.

Using the Communist Minion? Sure, that is taking an attack and throwing it back in their faces here where it was done.

in the United States regarding socialism. It is the opposition's goal to muddy the water on this issue. We certainly wouldn't want to aid them in their effort.

Bernie talks a lot about the economy, and how it has gradually gotten worse over the years.

To have a conversation about where we are, we must go back to where it started. It began in 1980. I've seen Bernie mention this. When things took a nosedive for the middle class and the .1 percent really took hold.

Ronald Fucking Reagan. We need to slay that Dragon once and for all. That was when the oligarchy really took control, and they've been stealing us blind ever since. We have got to show everybody what a vapid, bankrupt philosophy that their economic policies turned out to be.

The Soviet imagery, to me, would be a nice I-told-you-so to serve the Republican Party while their flying apart right now. Maybe others wouldn't understand my sense of humour.

I also still think it's too risky. Some low info folks might say: SEE I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!! Why give them ammo?

And, frankly, I think it's a big mistake ...

Why not fall back on the art memes of the FDR era? ... The WPA introduced some amazing art associated with the FDR programs that helped save the working families of this nation ...

Stay away from Soviet era art in relation to Bernie's very American campaign

The Soviets were COMMUNISTS, which is a pretty far cry from Democratic Socialism. The GOP will muddy the waters with that shit. Sanders to win the votes of the mainstream (not DLC) Democrats, the left leaning Independents and the Eisenhower old school Republicans that are fed up with what their party has become (the party of stupid).

It would backfire so fast and so furiously it would make your head spin. There are enough spinning heads out there without adding to them. Avoid that like the plague.

Many people aren't educated enough to understand the difference between Democratic Socialism and Communism.

The fact that some created a Red Scare Bernie Minion proves it, best not to inflame the paranoia.

history and poli sci students chuckle, but it would probably sail over the heads of mosf people. That's the problem when you come up with ideas while you're stoned.

My idea isn't popular at all. I do have a twisted sense of humor, so I've learned to run ideas by other people before I do them. Thank everyone for their honest opinions.
