UPDATE: and they're down!

it started to rain.

total honks today: 1

Although traffic here is not that great. But I would like to put a few signs anyway, even if I am only getting the neighbours attention.
Do you have a photo of the signs, or how you designed them?
Thanks in advance!

Nice signs that will get attention. Off topic: how I envy your GREEN grass. Drought here makes it pretty difficult to cultivate such a lush lawn.

You could cover them with some clear contact plastic sheeting to protect them. That's what I used to do for my "Lost Kitty" posters.

They will have only a second or two normally.

But I DO like the signs. And pedestrians can read them just fine.

this is why I boldly outlined all letters in black so they could stand out from their white backgrounds better.

also its local election time, so while other yards have standard sized, bland colored signs for people who want to be elected to town council, we have a large colorful sign that stands out from those. some people have even slowed down to read the signs!

Still 25% of all voters know practically nothing about Bernie! Let them know!

Nice work on the signs - I suggest you take them in at night to avoid vandalism.

Can you waterproof them with something like saranwrap?

maybe I'm being weird about that but yeah.

also I only intend on leaving them up for a few hours at a time so I can observe the honks and keep an eye on them.

A lot to read for a passing driver - may want to make it shorter or spread it out over several signs, berma-shave like (bernie-shave like???)
