Many of you know the story of how I first met Bernie: I organized a debate while he was running for Mayor of Burlington, Vermont. When I heard him speak, he embodied everything I had ever believed in. I just fell in love that night … with his ideas. And shortly after with Bernie himself.
Today, we’re together in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the first presidential debate of our campaign. I hope you’ll watch. It starts at 8:30 p.m. Eastern / 5:30 p.m. Pacific on CNN. It will also be streamed live on CNN's website.
We’re all a little bit nervous. It will be the first time Bernie gets a chance to share his message with a national audience of millions of people at once. But we’re also excited for the opportunity. I am sure you feel the same way.
Before the debate starts, let Bernie know you’re with him.

I hear there are also over 3,500 debate watch parties taking place at locations across the country. I know that it means a lot to Bernie knowing that so many people are in his corner tonight. It does to me, as well.
