"I went to Wall St. and told them to cut it out" (and walked away from there with a few million dollar checks.)
Hillary knows how to get things done for her high dollar friends.

I was in a conversation with a Hillary supporter who claimed that Hillary was a progressive and they failed to respond to this nor did any other Hillary backer respond

Will Hillary Clinton ever release a platform re: race or criminal justice?
She will eventually, maybe, but as long as she's already winning black voters over by like 75% or so, there's no real reason for her to be in an hurry to do so.
Doctor_J
(36,392 posts)charges by her supporters of "Sanders and his supporters are white supremacists" to stand. Had this dynamic unfolded in the other direction, Bernie would have jumped in to her defense. But, just as in 2008, Clinton will fan the flames of racial tension if it will help.
Never thought I'd give McCain credit for being the more reasonable of the two, but there you go.

(16,350 posts)I'm not trying to dislike or mistrust her but I can't help it. She just told one group she's a moderate centrist. Then at the debate she called herself a progressive. Which is it? That's just one example but I'm not here to overwhelm.

(1,103 posts)go to the left just before elections, but how they do change once in office!! That's why past records of candidates are of utmost importance. Willingness to do something about any issue usually shows up long before someone runs for an office. Look at records. Go Bernie!!!

(25,020 posts)On Fri Oct 23, 2015, 02:14 PM an alert was sent on the following post:
Well this says it all doesn't it?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/128065381
REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
The picture explicitly shows Hillary being offered a wad of cash and thus quintessentially corrupt and money driven. This doesn't belong on DU. There has never been a shred of evidence that Hillary has ever accepted a bribe and it is extremely distasteful.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Oct 23, 2015, 02:21 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Nothing to see here at all, just an illustration of Clinton's connections to big money. She doesn't need to be bought she is freely so inclined.
Now watch while I go rec that thread.
TheKentuckian
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The most ridiculous alert I have ever seen on this website.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: WTF?
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: There is nothing out of line with this post. No where is it stating or even remotely claiming a bribe is being made.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

(44,985 posts)Reason: This discussion thread violates the Statement of Purpose for this forum.
-- Alerter's comments: The protected groups were established to SUPPORT the various candidates, not tear down others. This post represents a de Facto violation of the Statement of Purpose of this group AND Democratic Groups in general.
Now the way I see it is that the Hillary supporter and MIRT member who alerted on this post must not see what is posted in.. other groups. I am not inclined to lock this it is about Bernie Sanders. I will send you the complete alert so you know who the alerter was.

The reawakening may very come in a couple of years when President Clinton can't get anything at all worthwhile accomplished with both houses of Congress firmly Republican and firmly anti-Hillary. Then - and probably only then - Americans will finally begin to realize that they "shudda voted for Bernie".

(592 posts)HRC is NOT against this, pay attention, she simply does not like it in its current form. People have misread this and the press says that HRC now does not favor the TPP, and yet...change a few paragraphs and see what happens. Does this make you trust her more or is she just being sneaky/splitting hairs/not genuine, but not lying on her position either.
Don't be fooled.

The Sanders campaign will be running ads in both states
With Hillary with what she thinks are negatives against Bernie just might backfire.
If things like when he said "yelling is not going to get things done" and if that is sexist and if that is all Hillary's got then we are is great shape.
Hillary is such a Republican style campaigner..
How can Hillary defeat Bernie Sanders on any of the issues"..When Bernie talks it is from the heart. When Hillary talks its from the script provided by Wall St and the corporate mafia.

(23 posts)Unacceptable from the left these days. Really guys? You can't condemn someone for their policies in an effort to change their positions and then denigrate them for doing just that.
Us: "you're wrong on xy and ! Rawr!"
HRC: " you know, your right, and so is Bernie. Here is a publication explaining my policy positions now. "
Us: "No, we don't accept anyone changing their position to align with us or to apologize. Ever. We don't forgive, and we don't forget! '
HRC: " Oh, I though I was working with intellectuals, not the Tea Party.... "
Us: " yeah well, um, we are intellec.... Hmm.... How very ass hatty of us... "
Why we would eat our own (just like Republicans) I'll never understand. How about we follow Bernie's lead and stop these silly attack adds.

(5,761 posts)she is changing her mind on EVERY SINGLE IMPORTANT ISSUE we face as a country, literally.
This is why her numbers for being trustworthy are underwater. People don't trust her because she changes her mind more often than any other candidate in history.
Here are a few choice things.
TPP
KXL
NAFTA
Iraq
Minimum wage
Gay marriage
DOMA
Crime & mass incarceration
Drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants
On and on it goes. No, we're not acting like Republicans, we're acting like progressives who see through her little charade of changing positions in order to be popular among American voters. We don't need a POTUS who is changing their minds all the time and "evolving" on the issues. I vote for rock solid positions, not someone who's a sand castle.
