Is MSNBC really saying that Bernie supporters are all be sexist and pulling the Bernie is sexist meme further?

This can't be true. What the hell?

There have been months of charges against "Bernie supporters" which could be largely fabrication or exaggeration to impact public opinion. He's doing a tremendous job, rapidly growing in recognition and popularity and can't hardy be attacked for his sincere style, intent and outstanding record. So, go after his supporters.

And MSNBC has gone really RW recently, Trump Fox- like; the owners are very conservative like most big media operations.

best DUers and Bernie supporters, highly intelligent, fair and effective.
A few of her just and truthful comments that can be used:

"Bernie doesn't use negative attacks (that's his 40 year history & he's proud of it),
or planted smears in the media,
or use surrogates or paid operatives to attack."
--------
*Beam Me Up Scottie, another Bernie person and ace fighter just did a great, very long OP in the BSG yesterday with excellent advice. Stay out of GD-P, but IF you do venture into the madness and snake pit threads:
Post the facts and evidence to counter their wild, false claims, then get out of there. Leave so that you aren't provoked into a writing a post that could be alerted on, then get a hide, and maybe a BAN. That's the desire of some who hope to get the strongest supporters eliminated from DU.

Take a look at Scottie's OP, there's a lot of helpful advice from many people in it.
-------
Although way before your time, campaign 'dirty tricks' are serious and have crashed some of the best--

-HOWARD DEAN'S 'Scream' on stage at a public event. The film audio was manipulated by the opposition. The crowd noise was lowered so that Dean's yell was distorted and seemed much louder than it actually was. This was played up in the media to mark him as 'looney' and worse.
-AL GORE was diminished for 'sighing' too much during a debate; and for being too boring.
-JOHN KERRY's 'Swiftboating' by lies from paid Vietnam Vets to damage him that were major.

Nasty stuff in politics at times unfortunately. Hang in there, it's along campaign & we must keep up the fight and the faith. And mostly use our brains!

And I know of the dirty campaign tricks before my time. I do appreciate the snippets of advice.

Not everyone is exposed to this bullshit.

You know an observation I made? In my town of RTP, NC, I've seen NO support for any other candidate except for Bernie.

It's true I've only seen 3 Bernie bumper stickers in my area other than mine. But you know what? There's no other candidates stickers. Anywhere. It's small, but it's something that signals a very big thing coming.

I did just post this in the Bernie Group, which is about this.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/110723726

So I'm curious as well. It actually wouldn't surprise me a whole lot, if all the online
manufactured faux outrage about "those bad, bad. rude, sexist, etc. Bernie supporters"
hasn't gotten picked up by one msnbc taking head, and "reported" like it was "news",
or perhaps it was an off-handed insinuation of some kind.

guess we'll have to see what we see, when it gets sorted out, when we see a clip of
whatever this alleged msnbc report or commentary actually is, if there even IS such
a clip that actually exists.

It's what they do. You see how Hillary supporters behave here. Then make their own HillarySupporters.com web site for the sole purpose if being able to spew their Bernie/Bernie supporters hate outside the DU rules that forbid it.

Something like this is right up their alley. My money's on it being Hillary supporters - they planted it and probably notified MSNBC. THIS is also something David Brock would do!

I don't know why there isn't a link, or do I? These people are willing to go with it, either way.

That is how people without ideas or vision act. They act like that. Perhaps putting it all here on DU will be interesting as time moves on. First it's one tactic, and then it's another.

I know who I am, and I know who other Bernie Sanders supporters are. I also know of one where my sister lives who said made sexist remarks, according to my sister, who is an HRC supporter. I don't discount that there are awful people out there, but I find it ridiculous to think that the online ones (the ones who of course, cannot be accounted for) are the subject of that stupid thread. Meanwhile, all the mouth breathing remarks churn on below it.

Pretty silly, contrived and worst of all, hateful. And yet, we are the hated.

No.... I have a high degree of confidence that this "report" is not true.

and accuse Bernie and his supporters of being sexist. They really are screaming it from the roof tops. I mean, it's a bit over the top, and it really does make it look like their whole shtick with Hillary is about feminism and her being a woman and the only reason everyone doesn't love and support her for President is because they are sexist. They keep saying that's not why they support her, but she keeps using her sex as a talking point, and they keep using the sexism card and it's just getting so old.

It's like they all have sex on their minds all the time.

I really wish we'd quit starting new threads to defend Bernie all the time. I think it just keeps the whole cycle going. We should just ignore their taunts and let them talk to themselves.

So anyway...found this on a google search, from a reddit thread:

So I just watched pundits on MSNBC call Bernie Sanders supporters sexist and racist, when calling Bernie sexist and racist failed... They are trying to bait us into a neg war. I was yelling at the TV it was so infuriating. It appeared around 6:45 est on MSNBC Live during a segment called Sanders vs Clinton. The media is trying to get Bernie to go negative and since it seems to be unable to rattle him and none of the Hillary attacks are sticking, they are now targeting us. His supporters. Try to keep it together because this seems like it is going to be one hell of a lesson in how not to lose your shit from unfair media bias.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/3qhmyu/so_i_just_watched_pundits_on_msnbc_call_bernie/

I still say we need to stop responding to these kind of accusations. They want the battle. They want to keep it going. Let's not help them.

Instead let's laugh...here's a response to that reddit post.

At this rate, by the time we get to the primary we will all be labeled as racist sexist anti-semite nazi white supremacist black supremacist sharia law abiding scientologist dolphins.

Didn't matter what you said then, you were racist or whitesplaining, or if you were a POC, you were lying about being a POC. Now it's sexist and mansplaining. Then, as now, they tried smearing Bernie first, then when it was pointed out how ludicrous the assertion was, they shifted their focus to his supporters.

Anything, anything, to deflect attention from HRC's credibility deficit.

FWIW, I just went to a meeting with other people from my community and Bernie's national campaign staff: there were about an equal number of men and women there.

This meme is stupid.

Hell, here's our local Facebook page. Judging from the posts, there are MORE women involved in my local campaign than men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KnoxvilleForBernie/
