Just about all party higher ups are supporting Clinton

The WA state party office held the first official Clinton meetup. Washington for Sanders on Facebook has 200+ members. One of them is the state party executive director and another works at the state party office. Not sure whether they are supporters, or just keeping an eye on all of us. The exec director used to work for the WA State Labor Council, so that may be actual support.

Bernie has a real chance in a caucus state.

Political revolution starts with this primary. We need to orchestrate a total onslaught of progressive voters and take over the party.

Stay engaged and engage. We grow stronger by the day.

from top down?

Would a Bernie campaign be wise to work within or outside the party set-up?

9. The state party leadership is often at odds with the membership

--with the membership being more progressive, as you might expect. WA State has a caucus delegate selection process. which has resulted over the years in pretty strong local organizations--the reason being that people sign up as PCOs and members to support particular candidates, and always a few decide to hang around. The first organizing for Hillary event came out of the state party office, but good ground work can get lots of people to go to the caucuses for Bernie. Social media are a great adjunct to caucus turnout. If you have to work, you can fill in a proxy ballot. (A change from previous years, when proxies were only allowed for religious reasons, disability or serving outside the state in the military.)
