Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWhadda know? Bernie DOES have more female supporters than Mrs. Presumptiveness!
Reddit called this one weeks ago and I posted about it here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/128074335
But, now the WaPo has caught up!
As of the last reporting period at the end of September, some 301,154 women gave money to Sanders in his quest for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to his campaign. That would top the approximately 240,000 women who have given money to Clinton since she launched her campaign.

This is how we do it!

(164 posts)It would be fair to say that Bernie has more female financial supporters than Senator Clinton.

(8,976 posts)because conversely she had
1.a lower absolute number of female donors
2.a lower absolute number of male donors
and lastly
3.a lower percentage of male donors
So essentially her campaign statement is meant to show that unlike Meatloaf, they believe 1 out or 4 ain't bad....

(40,416 posts)I love Bernie, but I do not think I have ever read a more presumptive post ever on DU than this one.
This kind of infighting between Hillary and Sanders supporters makes DU utterly suck.
I am disgusted.

(11,366 posts)I posted something earlier that is true and was fact checked by better math minds than mine.
BTW, this is a protected group. I didn't post this out on GD-P. I posted it to and for fellow Bernie fans. I'm SUPPOSED to be PRESUMPTIVE and CHEERLEAD in my candidate's own group.
Maybe you took a wrong turn on the way to Albuquerque?
Or maybe you're trying to flame bait.

(18,791 posts)Hill's "claim" started the whole thing...it got fact checked...and Bernie is the winner.
Period!
Thanks for the follow up in this.

(40,416 posts)I merely would prefer that common courtesies be abided by, a concept few here on DU seem to understand.
And I will very likely vote for Bernie in my primary in MI. So there's that.

(11,366 posts)A couple of weeks back, I posted a Reddit thread that parsed the numbers and found that Bernie had more female (donating) supporters, per person, than Hillary did.
The Washington Post carried a similar story today (well, yesterday, now) that confirmed that.
I posted this in the DU "fan site" for Bernie and not in the general threads.
How was I being uncourteous?

(19,926 posts)Now we all know there are many nasty Hillary supporters on DU, you know, the ones that hang out at the Clinton Cave and troll here, but we don't have to be like them and turn off the decent Hillary supporters and Bernie supporters for that matter, and especially the undecideds, if there can be such a thing on a political message board.

(62,325 posts)women and minorities. What is your point here? THIS woman supports the real Feminist in this election, and so do every one of my Feminist friends.
The PRESUMPTION is on the part of the Hillary campaign who dare to speak for women. They do NOT. Hillary's record on policies that have HARMED women is atrocious!
Please explain your point I am not getting it..

(5,402 posts)Her manipulation of the debate schedule, her acceptance of corporate money, her mealy-mouthed (and obviously temporary) changes in rhetoric and the way her DINO supporters engage in similar tactics demands a response from the people she is trying to deceive.

(1,587 posts)I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I call her Madame Presumptive (a play on Madame President, in case you didn't get it) myself. There are a lot of really offensive names she could be called, but Bernie supporters aren't that way. Wish we could say the same about the other side.
